Sirleaf pledged $500USD to the I-HELP Liberia Project in support of improving mathematics education in Liberia and he gave $300USD divided among the graduates. Mr. Sirleaf said, “Liberian teachers should continue to take advantage of such opportunities as provided by Dr. Obus and the I-HELP Liberia Project.”

The brief ceremony with the presentation of certificates to the successful Math teachers was held on Monday, July 4th in Monrovia, graced by the Deputy Minister for Instruction, Hon. Alexander Duopu along with Assistant Minister for Science Technology, Vocational and Inclusive Education, Hon. Saku Dukuly and Assistant Minister for Teachers Education, Hon. Mawolo. The I-HELP LIBERIA Project and MOE officials also had a short ceremony on the next day in Ganta and presented the certificates of completion and participation to deserving teachers. The I-Help Liberia was represented at both ceremonies by its Liberia Director, Mr. Abraham Jabateh.
