Grand Kru County Citizens Say Representative Fonati  Koffa Remains Their Best Lawmaker After Decades

Citizens of Grand Kru County have publicly lauded District #2 Representative,   J. Fonati Koffa for what they called his nationalistic contributions to the growth and development of their County since his ascendancy as their lawmaker, making references of several of his initiatives to bringing the County to a worth wide County.

According to a GNN Correspondent in the County, Representative Koffa’s name has become a household name in every sector of the County; notably observing that his contributions to the County has not been limited only to his  District (District #2) but rather the entire County have become to enjoy his legislative worth.

Our Correspondent said following the release last year of his proposed comprehensive string of 41 diverse projects, which was presented to him by at least 40,000 citizens, at the cost of over US$784,500, the Grand Kru County lawmaker has demonstrated his legislative power to handling these projects; infusing huge capital, many of whom are nearing completion.

Representative Koffa, who chairs the House’s Committee on Judiciary, at that time publicly, committed his office to undertake these projects in 18 communities in the district, with our noting that his promises are gradually being fulfilled at the amazement of his kinsmen.

Rep. Koffa Donates 19k 45KVA Generator to Grand Kru County Referral Hospital to Boost Electricity

One of his initiatives is the establishment of a local radio station which is now broadcasting credible news and information for the people of the County, a gesture been appreciated by hundreds of the County’s citizens some of whom are in the diaspora, describing the lawmaker as one of the best lawmakers in decades.

As one of his many promises to the people of the County to provide electricity, Representative Koffa recently donated a 19k 45KVA Generator at the cost of about US$19,000.00 to the County’s  referral hospital to boost its electricity, and to save lives of people during emergency operations at that health center.

In a statement from the Office of Grand Kru County District #2 Representative, dated April 8, the donation comes on the heel of a persistent appeal from the County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Sianna Jackson.

“We are grateful to boost electricity at our county’s only referral hospital and we are making arrangements for my team to transport the 45 Kva generator to Grand Kru County,” the lawmaker said.

In response, Dr. Jallah said, “We want to continuously thank Rep. Koffa for his support to the county, most especially the Rally Time Hospital.”

Meanwhile, in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Grand Kru County, Rep. Koffa, as Chairman of the Sports Steering and Mobilization Committees, has made a formal request to the Chairman and members of the Grand Kru Legislative Caucus to assist the County team in the COVID-19 fight.

Rep. Koffa maintained it will be ideal to use the winners of the 2019/2020 to join the fight against COVID 19 through whatever means  to educate our people on the deadly virus.

“We have also appealed that allocation of the L$750,000 Liberian dollars received by the county authorities from gate intakes in the County meet be turned over to the County authorities and the COVID-19 Task Force for use in the combat of the pandemic,” Rep. Koffa averred GNN Correspondent in the County quoting the lawmaker said.
