LIBERIA: Gov’t Declares Salary Increment For Security, Health Workers And Teachers

The Government of Liberia has announced salary increments for more than fourteen-thousand civil servants.

The increments expected to come into effect in July 2019,will affect security officers, health workers and teachers.

Making the disclosure Thursday, July 4, 2019, at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing, the Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), Laurine Johnson, said:” The increments were derived through government’s harmonization strategy.”

Madam Johnson noted that officers of the police, army, immigration, fire service, Drug Enforcement Agency, probation and correction will get pay rises.

According to the CSA Director General, more than three-thousand teachers making below $100 United States Dollars and those on supplementary payrolls would benefit from the new scheme.
