It has been discovered by a local news network which says it has independently verified that reports emerging early this morning of a massive layoffs action by authorities of Bea Mountain are untrue.
According to findings by the independent probe newspaper, says contrary to the report of a layoff plan of employees at the Bea Mountain, the company has closed two of it’s facilities due to depletion of minerals.
According to the source that preferred not to be named, explained to our undercover reporter that the company has closed with immediate effect the Kehkehma and Nablama mining sites and order all nonessential staff and contractors to return to its headquarters in Kenjor for further instructions.
The source further informed IPNews that the closure of the site is due to a recent takeover contractual agreement signed between Bea Mountain and a Turkish Mining company (named upheld)
Narrating furthermore, our source indicated that out of a total eighty(80) workers at the site, a total of thirty (30) causal-contractors (laborers) were duly layoff and given full benefits in accordance with the contractual agreement.
As for the rest of the remaining fifty (50) contactors, most of whom have been long contractors have been duly absorbed into the company’s workforce due to their technical capabilities.
It may be recalled that contrary to this report, news emerged early Tuesday,March 19, of a purported communication from Bea Mountain informing the government of Liberia of plans to layoff employees. The claim authorities of Bea Mountain have since denied.
According to our report in Kenjor , Grand Cape Mount County, the report of the purported massive layoffs was greeted with laughter as most of those contractors told our reporter that they were surprised at hearing of the news. Details come in our late evening news
