LIBERIA: Court In Sinoe County Orders Release A Man Accused Of Ritualistic Killing For Lacks Of Evidence

The Greenville Magisterial Court

The Magisterial Court of Greenville, Sinoe County has with immediate effect ordered the release from prison of a man identified as Jaryee Mennoh who was allegedly involved into ritualistic killing in Tarjuowon District, Sinoe County.

The County Attorney of Sinoe County, Cllr. Daniel Teki Dweh, noted that there has been no evidence to prove that Mr. Jaryee Mennoh was involved in ritualistic killing.

He availed that by law when the body of the deceased cannot be seen, you cannot charge anyone with the crime of murder without evidence, He availed.

Cllr Dweh intoned that the Mennoh who was accused of being involved into ritualistic killing as claimed by many residents in the county will not be forwarded to court, until eye witness who saw him committing such act is willing to testify before court.

Following the decision of the County Attorney, dozens of many citizens were seen disenchanted in the joint Security of the county about the manner and form in which Mr. Mennoh was released.

Meanwhile, County Attorney Cllr Daniel Teki Dweh is calling residents of the County to remain peaceful as the Joint Security is carrying out its investigation into the matter.
