LIBERIA: Bea Mountain fulfills commitment …gives over US$3000 for elders support

As part of its commitment to the elders of three communities in Grand Cape Mount County, Bea Mountain Mining Company-BMMC has given a cash of over three thousand United States dollars.

The amount was presented to three communities; Clans, Lâar, Mana and Darblo. This is in fulfillment of a promise made on May 7, 2022 to the local authorities in the Gola Konneh district.

In its commitment, BMMC is to provide a monthly support for elders of the three communities. Making the presentation on December 4, the Community Relations Superintendent, Mr. Henry Vincent presented 75 50kg bags of rice, 30 tin of oil and cash amount of $ USD 3, 750 as payment for August, September and October 2022.

The company   made similar donations to Mana Clan on December 5, 2022.

Receiving the cash and food items on behalf of the Clan, Hon. Taweh Sherman, Clan Chief of Darblo, thanked the Management of BMMC and called on them to do more to build a cordial relationship.

Mr. Mohamned K. Daramie also thanked the management and promised to maintain  peace with BMMC and urged them to  continue to provide more assistance to host Communities.
