LIBERIA: Amid Fluctuation Of Electricity In Monrovia, Tweah Announces Its Exportation
Amid the ongoing fluctuation of electricity to Monrovia and its environ by the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), with several communities are yet to be electrified, the Minister of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), Samuel Tweah has bragged to announce the exportation of electricity to neighboring Ivor Coast.
The statement by the Minister on Wednesday in Carysburg outside Monrovia has been described by critics as a serious campaign talk, when he revealed that Liberia is now generating more electricity and even selling some to Ivory Coast using the CLSG line.
“Mr. President I want to announce to you that Liberia is now selling and transporting electricity Ivory Coast “. Tweah reveals.
He stated that during the rainy season, Liberia generates more electricity and is selling the surplus to other countries.
However, the Minister made the assertions in a community that does not have electricity.
