Iran is preparing to provide Russia with approximately 1,000 additional weapons, including surface-to-surface short range ballistic missiles and more attack drones.

CNN reported about this with reference to officials who closely monitor Iran’s weapons program.

The shipment is being closely monitored because it would be the first case of Iran sending advanced precision guided missiles.

They note that this could give the Kremlin a substantial boost on the battlefield.

The last shipment of weapons included about 450 drones, which the Russians have already used, officials said.

As previously reported, the Air Force Command reported that Ukrainian forces have already shot down more than 300 Iranian Shahed-136 drones.

While the precise timing of when the shipment will arrive is unclear, but it will definitely be delivered before the end of the year.

As previously reported, Russian troops use Shahed-136 kamikaze drones to attack infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
