According to the Liberia National Police (LNP) over the weekend a man believed to be a bodyguard to the head of the Collaborating Political Parties, Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings was arrested for alleged in possession of firearm illegally during the CPP ‘We Tiya Suffering Rally on the 17 of December, 2022 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium.
The man was identified by the police as Justin Zigbuo who was allegedly in possession of illegal firearm marked ‘NSA 020’, the arrest was made during the afternoon hours of Saturday, December 17, 2022 in Paynesville before the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium where supporters and sympathizers of the Collaborating Political Party (CPP) had gathered to observe its rally duped “We Tiya Suffering”.
Suspect Zigbuo was detained at the headquarters of the LNP undergoing investigation, according to the spokesman of the police, Moses Carter. But the question being asked by many is how did Mr. Zigbuo obtain said weapon with such inscription of the National Security of NSA?
Effort by the GNN to contact the spokesman of the police, Moses Carter and authority of the NSA proved unsuccessful. Earlier when the Media Officer of Mr. Cummings, James Kaizolu was contacted he referred our report to the police.
Latest information reaching the GNN has disclosed that the police have forwarded to court the CPP official for further legal proceeding for illegally having in his possession firearm.
