House Threatens Jail Sentence For LRA Commissioner General, James Dorbor Jallah

The House of Representatives has threatened to Jail the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) Commissioner General, Mr. Dorbor Jallah if he refuses to sign duty-free for 2 cars each for them.

The House of Representatives has invited Mr. JALLAH to appear before the Honorable House today, March 25, 2024, to answer questions regarding their requests for duty-free at the Port.

Each year, members of the House of Representatives import two cars for free without paying a cent to the Government’s Revenue.

At the same time, the House of Representatives has challenged LRA to raise domestic revenue for the country something Commissioner General Dorbor Jallah has promised to deliver.

Ordinary Liberians are made to pay USD 1500 to free their car(s) at the Free Port of Monrovia, as

Lawmakers who are paid by the same Liberian tax players’ money have been importing their vehicles duty-free.

When lawmakers become lawbreakers…..
