Man Believed to be a Ghanaian National, and called Nana Oporku Obrepong Dwumoh, popularly known as ‘Richard’ is reportedly on the run after deceiving dozens of his clients, mostly Liberians aboard that he has a real estate in Liberia with well-furnished apartments for rental purposes.
According to two of his victims, Liberians residing in the United States, and the United Kingdom who spoke to the GNN tearfully said he gave this purported Ghanaian businessman, Nana Oporku Obrepong Dwumoh or Ricky took hundreds of United States Dollars from them, and is yet to be found.
One of the victims a male Liberian residing in Maryland, the United States in a rather frustrated tune said he gave the purported businessman US$2,700.00 with the aim of getting him an apartment in Monrovia, and said up to present he the apartment in question is yet to be found.
“In fact, the address he gave on the Congo Town Road is yet to be located, we understand, this guy has left Monrovia for Ghana with the money we paid him for apartment”, the victim speaking to our reporter via mobile phone said.
A WhatsApp number of Mr. Dwumoh in the possession of this outlet which was called several times aimed at verifying the information given out by the would be victims of his dubious game did not go through, while another number in our possession was however, by an individual to be the caretaker of Mr. Dwumoh’s properties in Liberia.
Efforts by our staff to locate the so-called office of Nana Oporku Dwumoh or Ricky proved unsuccessful, as residents of the area, Congo Town Back Road who spoke to the GNN said the name called is very strange to them.
