Following Minister Nagbe’s Comment That ‘PUL Is Useless’, PUL Leadership Calls For Mass Meeting
The leadership of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) is expected to hold a mass meeting today at the headquarter of the Union to deliberate on issues relating to recent statement made by the Liberian Minister of Information, Lenn Eugene Nagbe insinuating that the PUL is ‘Useless’, and his subsequent suspension by the leadership of the UNION.
In reaction to the statement made by the Liberian Information Minister which gave rise to his reported suspension by the leadership of the PUL of Minister Nagbe, seems not to bother the Minister, noting that he has no regret to such statement that the current leadership of the PUL is in his own word ‘Useless’.
As the leadership of Charles Cuffy bragging on the suspension of Minister Nagbe, his Vice President, Octavin Williams has publicly distanced himself, noting that it is not timely, and further declaimed to attend today’s mass meeting of the Union.
According to information, today’s meeting which will coincide with President Weah’s called meeting with media executives at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also highlight the sour relationship between the Executive Branch of Government and the media.
