EU-Liberian Film Festival 25 November–9 December
We are pleased to inform that the EU Delegation, in collaboration with the Government of Liberia through the National Authorizing Office (NAO) of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, is launching the 3rd annual EUROLIBERIAN Film Festival between the 25 November to the 9 December.
The film screenings will be starting the 27th November with the official launch at the Silver Bird Cinema.
This year, we selected the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence as the framework of the event with the theme “Stop the Violence, Make the Change”. The festival will offer a rich programme of Liberian and European movies, short films and documentaries to raise public awareness on gender-based violence as well as showcase the rich diversity of Liberian and European culture.
The Embassy of Ireland is contributing with the film ‘The Breadwinner’, and the Embassy of Sweden with the two films; ‘Little Children, Big Words’ and ‘The Girl Who Saved my Life’ .
Organised in partnership with Kriterion Monrovia and Accountability Lab, the film festival will take place in New Kru Town, Sinkor, Paynesville and Kakata. Please see the full programme attached with dates, times, venues and information on the films and activities.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the film festival, and please do not hesitate to share the programme with your network.
