The Need To Give Boakai/Koung Led-Govt. A Breathing Space

INFORMATION BEING GATHERED by this outlet has revealed that partisans of one of the leading opposition political parties, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), are planning a major protest against the Boakai/Koung-led Government for several reasons, which they claimed are affecting the Liberian people.

THIS PLATFORM FEELS these agitations by members of the former ruling government are untimely, as the Boakai/Koung government has not clocked its 100-day honeymoon period yet. The utmost concern of all well-meaning Liberians is to see a better leadership that will steer the country to its highest height in the growth and development of our beloved country.

AS PART OF efforts to strengthen the former ruling party after a slim defeat by the Unity Party in last year’s Presidential Election, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has earmarked what it terms as a comeback retreat in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.

THE RETREAT SHEDULED to occur from April 24 to 29, 2024, will be chaired by Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah, Representative of District #1 Lofa County. The theme of the retreat, according to the CDC, is “turning setbacks into comeback.”

LET’S NOT FORGET, Rome was never built in a day; Liberians and those in the opposition must learn to reason and bear patience with the UP-led Government for rapid growth and development; they were once seated in the driver’s seat; they should remember how long it took them to settle down as a government.
