The East International Group, a Chinese owned Construction Company is said to be winning the hearts of Liberians for its professional services in the construction of well-built concreted roads throughout the Country.
Liberians who spoke to this news outlet made reference of the recently signed US$59.5 million Pre Financing agreement between it and the Liberian Government actualizing it professional services by constructing durable roads including the pavement the 4.5-kilometers road from Klay to DC Clarke Town in Bomi County and also a 51 kilometers road across Monrovia and its environs.
As a result of the level of work being done by this entity, Liberians including civil society groups and other stakeholders in areas when the Company’s presence is being felt due to its professional services following the ratification of the agreement between the Liberian Government and the East International Groups by the House of Representatives after concurring with the House of Senate.
Liberians who spoke to our reporter also argued that East International Group, a legally registered construction firm has what they called vast experience in road construction, and further said the Ministry of Public Works must always see reasons in utilizing its professional services due to its proven record of performance in road construction in and outside of Liberia.
Speaking further, many of those who reporter about the operation of the Company expressed delight that East International Group which entered into an agreement with the Government of Liberia to pre-finance the construction of over thirty (30) neighborhood roads in and around Monrovia, will help to alleviate the many years of traveling difficulties experienced by Liberians residing in the affected communities and further boost economic activities in those communities.
“We are calling on the Ministry of Public Works to allow EIG the opportunity to provide accessible roads throughout the Country, this group which has provided jobs to hundreds of Liberians, and therefore must be protected by the laws of our land, and giving the opportunity for the construction of more roads in the Country,” Ms. Jackalyn Randall a resident of Monrovia in a chat with our reporter stressed.
