Despite Heavy Down Pour Of Rains, ‘Bring Back Our Billions’ Protesters Locked Down Monrovia

The City of Monrovia as early as 6am today, September 24, 2018 turned out to be like a ghost town with businesses closing for fear of disturbances during the scheduled protest by Members of the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) in demand bring back the missing container allegedly shutdown their businesses while students decided to stay home for fear of being caught in any situation.
Protesters in high gear are demanding the Liberian government to give account of L$16 billion that have been reportedly missing from the Port of Monrovia and the Roberts International Airport, the beginning of the protest saw hundreds of protesters gathered around the Capitol to march on the grounds of the US Embassy.

The petitioners are aiming to see the government’s major foreign partners exert pressure on the government of President George Weah to give account for the missing billions.
“I don’t think the rain will disrupt our assembly and people have the exuberance to show up today and we will remain here even if it rains,” one protester said .which was posted on social media, all Businesses, Schools, Private and Public Entities are asked to close their doors on that day, September 24, 2018 while parents or guardians should keep their children home taking into consideration the national security implications.
The parade was led by our Commander-In-Chief, Emmanuel Gonquoi which was also followed by the Central Revolutionary Council and the National People’s Assembly of the Uncompromising EFFL and encourage all well meaning Liberians to join the struggle in search of our L$16billion.
