CBL Allays Fear Of ‘Missing’ LD5, LD10, LD20 On The Liberian Market, Assures Arrival Of More Soon

As Liberians muscle with the continuous ‘Missing’ of smaller Liberian Dollar denominations; the LD5, LD10,and the  LD20 on the Liberian market, authority at the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) yesterday, June 8, 2022 briefed members of the Liberian media stakeholders in order to adequately educate the public on the arrival of the expected printed coins in the above valued Liberian dollars.

Addressing senior members of the Liberian media, the Executive Governor of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), Mr. J. Alosysius Tarlue, Jr. in the presence of senior staff of the Bank, called on the Liberian media to help in the process of informing the public on effort being applied in the transformation of the country’s financial stability.

Speaking further, the Governor made it cleared that the bank is aware of the reported shortage of the smaller denominations of the Liberian Dollars, and further assured that such situation will be improved during the arrival of the coins representing the LD5, LD10, LD20, and LD50.

He further noted that addition banknotes including LD500 and LD1000 are expected to be printed before 2023, and used the occasion to call on the Liberian media to help in informing the public on the role of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) during these difficult periods.
