BRAC Liberia Provides Loan Services To Rural Women In Maryland County

As a means of improving business venture of women in their drive to successfully earning better living in the southeast, BRAC Liberia Microfinance Company Limited has launched it services in Pleebo, Maryland County, aimed at helping local businesswomen in that part of the Country in improving their businesses.

The launch which took place on December 15, 2020, brought together several participants including local government officials, and the Superintendent of the County, Mr. George Prowd, and the local head of ECOBANK Liberia in the County were present during the launch.
Addressing the people, the Chief Executive Officer of the BRAC Liberia, Rezaul Karim said her institution is pleased to introduce BRAC in that part of the Country, stressing, “BRAC is introducing its loan product in order to provide financial support to members of small business groups in Maryland County.
“Our mission is to provide Financial services responsibly to people at the bottom of the pyramid, also we particularly focusing on women living abject poverty at all level particularly those residing in rural and hard to reach, creating self-employment opportunities, build financial resilience, and harness women’s entrepreneurial spirit by empowering them economically,” Mr. Karim explained told the gathering.
