A child who was born on July 24, 2019 at about 4pm in Lower Johnsonville and Chicken Soup Factory Community has been named after the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah, with the parents wishing the baby to excel as the Liberian leader.

In a communication to this outlet, the father of the newly born child, Joseph Jubor said, chose to name his child after the Liberian President because he wished the baby to excel, and believes that “President Weah is God sent and the hurdles before him as President will easily overcome; and pray that the nation rally around the President for prosperity and development”.

According to Mr. Jubor, the news naming his son met little disenchantment amongst some babies’ mothers at the Refuge Place Clinic in Lower Johnsonville especially during the just ended bi- elections in Montserrado.

Mr. Jubor who is a trainee at the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism in his communication to the GNN said, they have committed to name the child since they knew it was a bouncing baby expected, noting. “We are grateful to name this child after our President as a gift to him”, Mr. Jubor in his communication noted.
