As Rep. Kolubah’s Constant Insults On The Presidency Widen Criticisms In Public, UP Lawmakers Decline Action – GNN Investigation Reveals
The constant insults and attack on the reputation of the sitting Liberian presidency by Montserrado County District # 10 Representative, Yeke Kolubah seems to be receiving some backings from some lawmakers of the ruling Unity Party in the 55th national legislature due to their reported insensitive to kick against the constat acts of insults against President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.
Few weeks ago, some members of the House of Representatives in the 55th National Legislature raised issue against their colleagues, Representative Yeke Kolubah for his constant attacks and insults on the reputation of the Liberian President, Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai, which they noted is not healthy for the country and its people.
Multiple sources at the Capitol Building, the office of the National Legislature have hinted the GNN-Liberia, that many of the lawmakers elected on the ticket of the ruling Unity Party (UP) have reportedly declined to attest their signatures for the expulsion of the district 10 lawmakers, due to reported inciting statements against the Liberian President.
Our legislative source speaking further also disclosed that the instrument which will be used for the expulsion of the Montserrado County district 10 lawmaker, Rep Yeke Kolubah for what they described as his ‘Unbecoming attitude’ against the Liberian presidency, noting that this attitude on the part of the lawmaker to regularly insult a sitting president is wronged and must be discouraged.
According to GNN Liberia investigation, Unity Party (UP) lawmakers in the House of Representatives are the second highest with 10 elected representatives, while the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) carries the highest with 24 elected members of the House of Representatives.
