As Liberian Journalists Observe 58th Anniversary, Businessman Johns Says “The Media Is An Indispensable Democratic Tool”

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bukonjadeh Group of companies, Mr. Elton Datee Johns has asserted that the Press across the globe remains undoubtedly indispensable instrument in advancing any civilized democratic society like Liberia.

This is why the Bukonjadeh’s CEO said his institution appreciates the fact that journalists under the canopy of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) have converged in their numbers in Saniquellie, Nimba County to celebrate the organization’s over sixty consecutive years of existence which is expected to pave the smooth way to the holding of a free, fair, democratic election in which the incumbent President, Mr. Charles Cuffey is due to take his exist. The PUL members are scheduled to go to the poll in November, 2022 to elect a brand-new corps of offices.

However, Mr. Johns said, members of the Fourth Estate are integral components and engines of true democracy as such, he hopes and prays that journalists as watch dogs of society across the world will freely elect leaders of their choice to steer the affairs of the PUL  as Liberians gear up for the 2023 elections. “We depend on the critic the society and promote the business aspects of our country”  Elton concluded.
