Saudi Non-Resident Ambassador Meets Liberian Minister of Commerce and Industry

Saudi Non-Resident Ambassador to Liberia, Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Subaie, met Monday Liberian Minister of Commerce and Industry Wilson K. Tarpeh.

During the meeting, the Ambassador stressed the importance of developing relations between the Kingdom and Liberia in all fields, especially economically through the exchange of exports and imports. He also requested to provide the Saudi embassy with the necessary information on investment opportunities in Liberia, pointing to the Kingdom’s potentials in the field of petrochemical industries and the export of oil derivatives, in addition to the efforts to open a direct airline between Jeddah and Abidjan.

For his part, the Minister welcomed this proposal, which he believed would facilitate trade exchange between the Kingdom and the countries of the West African region, pointing to the importance of signing agreements between the Kingdom and Liberia in regard to political consultations, exchange of support in international organizations, areas of investment protection and double taxation.
