PROSA Speaks On National Issues, Addresses The Media

Fellow Liberians, crusaders of peace and democracy, apologists of egalitarianism, adherents, and proponents of social justice and academic freedom, students of the Republic and members of the independent media, our international partners, and solidarity forces, distinguished ladies and gentlemen.

We bring you warm heartfelt revolutionary greetings and fraternal salutations from the mass-based neo-progressive, revolutionary, and pan-Africanist independent students’ movement on the campuses of the University of Liberia, the indomitable Avant-garde Progressive Students Alliance of the University Liberia, “PROSA”

Fellow Liberians and courageous students of the Republic of Liberia, after a decisive and careful move by the only surviving and independent students’ movement on the campuses of the University of Liberia “PROSA” to take on the growing and creeping dictatorship of this historical mistake and political accident in Mr. Joeseph Nyumah Boakai; this our independent student movement has been receiving huge support from Liberians home and abroad to call out the regime of Mr. Boakai on April 19, 2024, thereby organizing a peaceful assembly to do the needful as they promised that things wouldn’t have been business as usual under their administration.

Consciously, “ we the entire leadership and full bench of the Executive Council, Supreme Council, and General Congress of the revolutionary avant-garde Progressive Students Alliance of the University of Liberia,

want to congratulate the resilience and gallantry of some of Liberia’s brightest and finest progressive lawmakers from the 55th National Legislature for having endorsed our National and peaceful March on April 19, 2024 yesterday and we do appreciate you for attending such an elaborate press conference on yesterday at the main campus of the University of Liberia.

The presence of these representatives and their subsequent endorsement of our planned historical April 19 March as in the likes of the following lawmakers:

Rep Frank Saah Foko Jr. of District #9  Mont. County. District # 10 Mont. County, Hon. Yekeh Kolubah

*Hon. Zinnias Norman-District 1 Gbarpolu

*Hon. Sumo Kollie Mulbah – District 3 Montserrado and

*Hon. Eugene Kollie- District 5 Bong on yesterday didn’t only bring a different phenomenal to student’s politics but shows a path to a new Liberia with the young people at the center of economic and political

discussions for the advancement of the state and its people.

As a consequence of the momentous and historical endorsement which has gained national excitement and an unprecedented wave of mobilization amongst the masses of our people, the Avant-guard party as in “ PROSA” condemns the recent attacks from Mr. Boakai’s cold bloody death squad led by it’s most notorious gang leaders; Abraham Kromah of DEA, Sam Gaye head of NSA and Francis Nyumalin, Minister of  Internal Affairs against the life of the chairman of PROSA, Cde. Richardson Mwalimu Jallah Koiboi and other executive committee members of the party;

The Revolutionary Avant-garde party also wants to vehemently condemn plans to eliminate Hon. Yekeh Kolubah as lawmaker of electoral district # 10 because of his recent critical outburst against Mr. Boakai and his group of National looters.

Furthermore, the party wants to bring this to the attention of all well-meaning Liberians home and abroad that she has made it official that “ PROSA” as a party has extended the planned March initially slated for April 14 as intimated doing our recent press conference to April 19 due to the pleas from some religious people from the Christian and Muslim communities that based on the fact that most of our people will be in church worshipping and at the same asked that it be done after the Ramadan for a broader participation of the masses.

In furtherance to that, the Progressive Students Alliance of the University of Liberia is disappointed that since these recent fire outbreaks or pandemic in our country, the Executive Mansion, and Mr. Boakai have refused to make any public statements during these troubling and crucial times especially where our people are losing relatives and properties to the excruciating pains of fire disaster.

Therefore, PROSA sues the government of Mr. Boakai USD 15m and calls on those affected by the widespread wave of fire disaster now ravaging more than 75homes 20 deaths so far to assemble on April 14 ( Sunday 2:00 PM) at Catholic junction and the government should stand prepared to pay for all of the loses our people have experienced during the fire disaster as well as the forceful demolition of their homes by the Boakai’s regime just to satisfy a Russian arms dealer who is a notorious patron of arm smuggling in the country.

In addition, The Avant-garde Party invites the wives of the Arm forces of Liberia, the Liberia National Police, and all citizens to its mass peaceful April 19 assembly named and styled “March in solidarity for fire victims, ‘USD 250,000 from Amos Tweh’ s corruption spree at LPRC and the bribery scandal of USD 4,500 intended to impeach the sitting speaker of the 55th national legislature.

In conclusion, The Avant-garde Party invites the wives of the Arm forces of Liberia, the Liberia National Police, and all citizens to its mass peaceful April 19 assembly named and styled “March in solidarity for fire victims, ‘ including but not limited to USD 250,000 from Amos Tweh’ s corruption spree at LPRC of colossal condominiums and the bribery scandal of USD 4,500 involving the office of the President of the Republic of Liberia intended to impeach the sitting speaker of the 55th national legislature in Hon. Jonathan Fonati Kofa.

We have crossed the red line and there is absolutely no turning back. It is either we struggle or perish but there is no third way.

Homeland or Death!
