Orange, German Development Cooperation inaugurate the XI Orange Digital Center in Africa, Middle East in Liberia, to train young people in digital technology and enhance their employability

Orange www Orange com and the German Development Cooperation today inaugurate an Orange Digital Center in Monrovia a digital ecosystem entirely dedicated to the development of digital skills and innovation attended by the highest political and administrative authorities from Liberia.

Representatives of Germany in Liberia members of the board of directors of Orange Liberia and Representatives of Orange Middle East and Africa.  Following in the footsteps of Tunisia Senegal Ethiopia Mali Ivory Coast Cameroon Egypt Jordan Madagascar Morocco it is in Liberia that this 11th Digital Orange Center is inaugurated.

With an area of 715 m2 it brings together four strategic programs of the Orange group namely a coding school a solidarity FabLab one of the Orange Foundation s digital fabrication workshops and an Orange Fab start up accelerator supported by Orange Ventures Africa the investment fund/

All programs are provided free of charge and are open to everyone They range from digital training for young people 90 of which are internships guidance to project owners’ acceleration of startup and investment in them. Working as a network the Orange Digital Centers allow the sharing of experiences and knowledge between countries and offer a simple and inclusive approach to improve the employability of young people encourage innovative entrepreneurship and promote the local digital ecosystem.
