Ganta, Nimba County – May 21, 2026: The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has intensified efforts to modernize revenue administration and strengthen data- driven decision-making through a weeklong strategic retreat organized by its Enterprise Data Analytics Division (EDAD) in Ganta, Nimba County.
The EDAD is leading the retreat as part of its central role in advancing digital transformation within the LRA.
It brings together EDAD staff and key collaborating stakeholders to review departmental achievements, assess ongoing analytics and automation initiatives, and align operational activities with the LRA’s broader modernization and institutional reform agenda.
The initiative forms part of the LRA’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at modernizing revenue administration through advanced technology, integrated systems, and intelligent data management solutions.
The reforms are expected to strengthen compliance monitoring, improve revenue tracking, enhance transparency and accountability, and deliver more efficient taxpayer services across Liberia.
Speaking at the event, Assistant Commissioner of the Enterprise Data Analytics Division, Jupar N. Dunbar, said the initiative is intended to strengthen analytical capacity, improve collaboration, promote innovation, and enhance the use of technology and data intelligence in support of efficient and transparent revenue administration across Liberia.
Mr. Dunbar emphasized the growing importance of data analytics, automation, and integrated systems in transforming modern tax administration and strengthening institutional performance. “Modern revenue administration depends heavily on data intelligence, automation, and integrated systems. Strengthening our analytical capacity is essential to improving compliance monitoring, operational efficiency, and evidence-based decision-making across the Authority,” Mr. Dunbar stated.
He further highlighted EDAD’s strategic role in supporting institutional integration, strengthening data governance, improving reporting mechanisms, and enhancing analytical support for operational and policy decisions within the Authority.
The ongoing retreat also provides participants with an opportunity to strengthen knowledge sharing, improve coordination, address operational challenges, and identify innovative solutions aimed at enhancing organizational performance and service delivery.
Discussions during the retreat are focusing on automation, analytics-based management, innovation, digital reporting systems, and data governance as part of efforts to strengthen institutional efficiency and improve evidence-based operational planning.
The LRA believes stronger analytics systems and digital integration will improve service delivery, enhance taxpayer confidence, strengthen safeguards for government revenues, and support Liberia’s long-term economic growth and governance reforms.
