Monrovia, Liberia — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) has announced that significant progress has been made with the data center system upgrade, enabling the ministry to begin the disbursement of October 2025 salaries for government employees.
Technical challenges with the upgrade had led to an announcement by the MFDP on Friday, October 17, 2025, that the salary payments for government workers would experience a one-week delay.
The MFDP is now pleased to report that it has already disbursed salary payments for employees of more than 31 Government of Liberia (GOL) ministries, agencies, and commissions to commercial banks. The disbursement process for several other GOL entities is also currently underway.
Depending on how quickly the commercial banks process and credit the accounts of GOL employees, the Ministry expects that most employees will have fully received their salaries by the end of the month, October 31, 2025.
The Government of Liberia remains committed to transparency and accountability in all financial matters. The MFDP deeply values the contribution of civil servants to the country’s development and assures them of its unwavering commitment to timely salary payments. The Ministry reminds all civil servants that any temporary delays were solely due to the ongoing system upgrades, which are intended to enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of the government’s financial operations.
The MFDP extends its gratitude to all government employees for their patience and understanding, reaffirming the government’s role as a responsible administration that prioritizes the welfare of its workforce.
