Liberia’s Culture Ambassador Poised For Another Peace, Leadership Award

Liberia’s Culture Ambassador Juli Endee

Liberia’s Culture Ambassador Juli Endee is expected to receive a Peace and Leadership award in London on Saturday, December 8.

The Peace and Leadership award is basically to applaud the Liberian Culture Ambassador for services she rendered her country and other nations over the years.

Speaking on the ELBC talk show Wednesday, Endee disclosed that the award is intended to appreciate her numerous contributions and support to peace and stability in Liberia and the sub-region.

According to Endee, the award is also in appreciation of her embracing the culture of peace and her diligent service to her country Liberia.

This is the second international award Ambassador Endee is receiving in less than a year after bagging the International Humanitarian Image Award from Hollywood in the United States of America on September 30.

“That award was given to me Sunday evening on September 30, 2018 at the Hollywood African Prestigious Award ceremony in Los Angeles, California. I was recognized for my numerous humanitarian initiatives in Liberia and the sub-region, and for using arts and music to promote peace and humanity and my support to enterprising Liberian musician Semah Weifur, ” she pointed out.

Endee indicated that peace is an essential instrument of development and must be embraced by all Liberians.

“I promise to continue working hard in the interest of serving humanity in Liberia and the rest of the world,” Endee vowed.

She emphasized that peace is not what people wish for but rather what they say, do and demonstrate, adding, “Liberians should demonstrate true love for each other to achieve genuine peace in the country.”

Meanwhile, Ambassador Endee is commending President George Manneh Weah and former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the role they played in the peace Liberians currently enjoy.

She is at the same time thanking the Government and people of Liberia for the support they continue to accord her.

Judi Endee became Liberia’s Culture Ambassador in 1995, a title conferred on her by the Liberian Government and people for the pivotal role she played in galvanizing support for Liberian artists in the Diaspora and at home to use their skills to promote peace in the country.

She was also crowned and named Traditional Queen of Liberia by the Elders, Chiefs and Zoes of Liberia in 2000 for playing a key role in the peace process among leaders of the Mano River Basin when the Republics of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea were at odds with each other.

With her innovation and commitment while serving as the Chairperson of the social mobilization committee on the Polio Immunization efforts in Liberia in 1998, Ambassador Endee led a successful campaign to support the Government of Liberia fight the deadly polio virus; a process which eventually led to the declaration of Liberia as Polio free.

Throughout her sojourn as an artist, a campaigner and an advocate, Ambassador Endee has won 31 awards on both the local and international scenes, produced 12 musical albums and several singles, among others.
