The items were presented to the Superintendents of the 15 counties for onward distribution to the Muslim community across the country.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, MIA Minister Varney Sirleaf, who is also a Muslim, said the gesture of the President will forever be remembered by the Muslim community in the country.
According to Sirleaf, President Weah stands for unity and wants to see Liberians working together.
He, however, called on Liberians to be patient as the President is working to improve their lives and bring development to the country.
For his part, the chairperson of the National Superintendents Council, Janjay Baikpeh, lauded President Weah for the gesture, pointing out that “this gesture by the president is not strange because since he became President he has always been identifying with the Muslim community.”
