The Government of Liberia has called on citizens not to panic over rice shortage rumor; says there is enough rice in the country to feed everyone
The Government at the same time cautioned citizens against any form of panic.
The government’s statement comes following complaints from marketers that rice distributors are reportedly refusing to sell their products.
Addressing the Ministry of information press briefing Thursday, Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie noted that there is enough stock of rice in the country while additional consignments are expected to arrive early in April this year.
