Sinoe County Newly Appointed Superintendent Peter Wleh Nyenswah has initiated a rigorous inspection of local mining sites, an exercise that resulted in apprehending eight Chinese who were allegedly engaged in unauthorized mining activities.

The crackdown, following President Joseph Nyemah Boakai’s recent directive in halting all mining operations that underscores the government’s commitment to curbing illegal mining, particularly by foreign entities.
