The incident occurred Sunday evening, May 16, in Kakata Margibi County.
Speaking to some of the victims including, Margibi County Muslim council head, Kuku Reeves, Kakata famous Cook shop head, Ma. Betty and green hill community chairman among others said their properties and other valuables worth several thousands United States Dollars were damaged during the incident.
According to them, they and their children are currently sleeping in the open while others squat in congested rooms with family members and friends.
Some of the famous area been affected by the storm in Kakata includes: Parts of the Booker Washington institute, the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium, The Giddings polytechnic high school, Kakata famous football game video club and LEC light poles among others.
Meanwhile, the county is currently in darkness due to the rain storm that affected the LEC light poles in the county.
