UPDATE: Man On The Run For Diverting Goods From U.S. For Liberian Family

GNN is currently investigating a story of a man only identified as Jackson a resident of the United States, who is currently visiting Liberia have been accused of duping several Liberians back home whose relatives and friends in the US usually sent things by him for their people in Liberia, but always divert same in his personal use, a situation that prompted one of the victims to file a lawsuit against this US based Liberian at the Gardnerville Magisterial Court.

According to GNN investigation, Jackson is reportedly operating an Import and Export Company located in Point Four, where goods allegedly brought into the country for other people from their relatives and friend in the US are kept and sold out by him allegedly, instead of delivering said goods to their respective owners in Liberia.

Since this complaint was filed at the Gardnerville Magisterial Court, Jackson is said to be on the run avoiding justice. Some of the victims, who spoke to the GNN-Liberia, said the man always told that he is an American, and that nothing the Court in Liberia can do to him, in fact he promised to settle to he is obligated to upon his arrival to the United States.

Two of the angry victims identified as Mr. and Mrs.  Harmon residents of the Township of Barnesville who spoke to the GNN-Liberia said their children in the United States sent them a container of goods since last September (2020) for the official opening of their provision shop by this individual whose identity is currently been withheld, but instead, said goods have been diverted into his personal use.

According to sources closed to the Magisterial Court, the Jackson has allegedly refused to show up in Court since Mr. and Mrs. Harmon; the victims of his scan   filed his complaint to the Court nearly three ago.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with this paper recently, the Harmons said since 2020 their children in the United States sent thousands of United States goods intended to open a store in Liberia for business purposes by Jackson he is yet to deliver said goods, a situation that compelled them to file a lawsuit against him.

However, sources closed to the victims have disclosed that the purported businessman showed up late Monday night at the residence of one of the families who was reportedly duped asking for mercy, promises that he will do all to reform whatever was misapplied by him.

Effort by this outlet to contact Mr. Jackson at his Point Four business area failed, despite of several attempts.
