‘Blood Sacrifice’ As Businessman In Grand Cape Mount County Indicted For Murder

The 5th Judicial Circuit Court in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County presided over by His Honor Wesseh Alphonsus Wesseh is expected to hold final legal argument in the case; Republic of Liberia vs. Duruman Kamara on the crime of Murder.

Court documents in the possession of GNN said, Duruman Kamara, 24, a prominent businessman, in Tiehni, Tewor District, was indicted in February 2023, along with Morris Konneh for murdering Richard Tolbert along the beach in Tailalor in Kru Town and had his body thrown into the nearby lagoon.

According to the indictment, Duruman Kamara hired Konneh to bring Richard, his ‘friend’, the deceased for blood sacrifice and then paid Konneh five thousand Liberian dollars out of ten thousand Liberian dollars to complete the deal, and also gave him some narcotics, Kush, to put in Richard’s drink.

Konneh went to Richard’s house that night and convinced him to follow him to a friend party in the area and while they were drinking at a local entrainment center, Richard went out to attend to nature and then Konneh put some of the Kush into Richard’s  drink thereby making Richard helpless and Morris took him away to the beach side that night around 11PM and turned him over to Duruman Kamara and four other masked men who were waiting nearby and killed Richard and extracted his left ear and upper tooth with blood oozing from the back and chest of the deceased.

When the case was called for trial, government lawyers entered nolle prosequi (dismiss case against Konneh) in favor of Morris Konneh and used him as government inside witness
