Alvina Security Services Incorporated has been named the 2025–2026 Best Security Company by the Liberia Online Media Network, a professional media organization comprising practitioners from the print, online, radio, and electronic sectors. The award recognizes the company’s significant contributions to Liberia’s private security industry and its consistent commitment to professional service delivery.

The recognition arrives as the firm prepares to celebrate its fourth anniversary this August. To mark the milestone, Alvina Security Services is launching a humanitarian outreach program designed to provide meals and essential support to more than 500 visually impaired individuals across Liberia. Management stated that this feeding initiative is a core element of its corporate social responsibility program, reflecting a commitment to uplifting vulnerable Liberians alongside its commercial security operations.

Speaking ahead of the anniversary celebrations, Chief Executive Officer Chief Alvin C. Mackay described the upcoming milestone as an opportunity to reflect on four years of steady corporate growth while giving back to society. He emphasized that businesses bear a moral responsibility to support disadvantaged communities and contribute meaningfully to national development.

“Our anniversary is about giving back to the people. We believe businesses have a responsibility to uplift communities and show compassion to those who need it most. By reaching out to our visually impaired brothers and sisters, we hope to bring joy, hope, and encouragement to their lives,” Chief Mackay said.

In tandem with the humanitarian announcement, Chief Mackay called on the Ministry of Justice to strengthen its engagement with Liberia’s private security sector. He noted that licensed private security firms play a vital role in protecting businesses, institutions, communities, and private properties, thereby complementing the overstretched resources of the Liberia National Police and other state security agencies.

He urged the government to adopt more robust policies, improve regulatory oversight, expand professional training opportunities, and provide greater institutional recognition to the private security industry. According to Chief Mackay, a stronger, well-regulated private security sector would simultaneously create sustainable employment for Liberian youth, reduce crime, enhance public safety, and foster economic growth.

As part of the anniversary itinerary, Alvina Security Services plans to host an event bringing together government officials, state security executives, business leaders, civil society organizations, religious leaders, and representatives from the visually impaired community. The gathering aims to celebrate the company’s achievements while promoting stronger public-private collaboration in national security.

The company also used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to delivering customized, high-quality security services throughout Liberia. Registered with the Liberia Business Registry, Alvina Security Services provides tailored security solutions for government institutions, schools, multinational corporations, commercial centers, hotels, hospitals, and residential communities.

Chief Mackay highlighted that the company places a significant premium on baseline training and professionalism. Security personnel undergo continuous instruction in unarmed combat, first aid, gate and visitor management, vehicle movement control, and other essential security protocols to ensure strict adherence to industry standards. Management added that rigorous recruitment, continuous upskilling, and close operational supervision remain the foundational pillars of the company’s success, with each officer serving as an ambassador of integrity and discipline.

Looking forward, the company intends to diversify its portfolio by offering specialized security training, skills development, intelligence gathering, and private detective services to corporate entities, government agencies, industrial firms, and private clients across the country.

Alvina Security Services pledged to maintain its high benchmarks for customer satisfaction by providing dependable, client-focused solutions. Management expressed confidence that its emphasis on quality service, professional excellence, and the timely compensation of its workforce will continue to solidify its position as a market leader. Notably, the company revealed that its security guards receive monthly salaries exceeding US$150 and are consistently paid on time, a practice management credits with maintaining high employee motivation and superior service delivery.
