As hundreds of supporters of Henry Petro Costa, lead campaigner of the upcoming December 30th protest in Monrovia are said to be mobilizing for his arrival on December 19th, 2019 from the United States of America, information gathered by the GNN has revealed that several security measures have been put in place to screen those who will be at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) to receive him.
According to report, dozens of immigration officers from the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), the National Security Agency (NSA), and other paramilitary security officers have reportedly been deployed at the airport to enforce what is believed to be a special order in tracking down whosoever is caught in this security dragnet.
The inspection of the Liberia National Identification Cards will also be one the primary duties of those officers who will be assigned at the airport, noting that without such document, anyone who is caught will have himself or herself to be blamed.
Already, according to GNN Correspondent assigned at the Airport, score of supporters of Mr. Costa are said to be gearing up for the arrival of their lead campaigner, while at the same time buses have been arranged for charter to transport to and fro of supporters from the airport to Monrovia.
As the day, December 19th, 2019 draws closer, there are unconfirmed report of a planned intention by the government to arrest Costa as he arrives at the airport from the United States on Thursday of the week to Liberia.
