AML Drags 25 Employees, Contractors To Court

25 persons including contractors and employees have dragged to court by ArcelorMittal for what the company called Illegal criminal mischief.
According to a local online platform, the Nimba TV, the 25 persons were seen at the Yekepa Magisterial Court last week to answer to charges leveled against them by the company.

Speaking to reporters, one of the victims, Musu Saysay who said she is a businesswomen was in Nimba County in search for a job, but unfortunately she is yet  to get such opportunity.

Musu Saysay who hiled from Grand Cape Mount County, said due to the difficulties she faced in finding a dwelling place in Yekepa she found a dumpsite where she was told by the Chairman of the community where she lived for over two years to built a one bedroom, but unfortunately, the management took she and others to court for illegal occupation on the company’s land.
like Musu, several victims of the company’s court proceedings, explained similar story, but called on the government to intervene into their plight.
