The former ruling Unity Party (UP) says it has noticed that that some individuals contesting the October 2023 elections as independent candidates are using the emblem or logo of the Party on their flyers and posters in districts and counties where the Unity Party is fielding candidates certified by the National Elections Commission of Liberia.
In a statement posted on its Face Book page, the Unity Party it is strongly warning those in the habit to immediately desist, as the Party will not relent to use all legal remedies to prosecute those caught illegally using the party insignias.
Meanwhile, the Unity Party congratulates all candidates certified by NEC on its ticket and reaffirms the party’s support to all of the UP contestants and friendly candidates in the upcoming October 10, 2023 Presidential and Legislative elections.
The UP therefore calls on all its Partisans, Supporters, Alliance Parties, and well-wishers to get out and campaign for all candidates on the party’s ticket.
