Amid Ongoing Campaigns For October 10 Polls, Liberians Prayerfully Take The Airwave
As Liberians anxiously await the holding of a peaceful general and presidential elections on October 10, 2023 amid report that such elections many likely be chaotic, some who took the airwave via phone calls on a local radio, the Freedom Radio 87.5 FM Sunday morning, August 20, 2023 praying for a peaceful election, asking God to ignore any plan to disrupt Liberia’s peace during these elections.
Many of the callers in their motivative prayers asked God to intervene and abort any situation that would have the propensity to disrupt the country’s long-lasting peace and bring to public disgrace whosoever is involved in such disruptive acts.
Some of the prayers that were filled with spiritual messages and delivered on the radio, condemned those political parties including the governing and the opposition including their respective members who will engage in any act aimed at disrupting these elections must be scattered, and put shame.
“I Pray to God to scatter all evil plans aimed at creating confusion during our upcoming elections, I am asking God punish whoever may be involved in these ugly acts and expose them; be it any political party or politician, God we tired of war”, one of the prayers said by a lady who sounded like an elderly woman warned.
All the prayers by both men and women that were said, begged God for a peaceful election, come October 10, 2023, and further warned those Liberians abroad not to exacerbate any situation that would bring unbearable situation on those back home, noting that Liberia is all they have.
