
In their bid to contribute to the end of the deadly COVID-19 onslaught on innocent individuals around the world including Liberia, members of the House of Representatives are expected to attend a daylong revival in the Chamber of that august body on June 2, 2020 aimed at seeking God’s guardian amid COVID-19 war against Liberia.
According to report, members of the 54th Legislature have endorsed a proposed made by the National Christian Council of Liberia considered to be a breakaway faction of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) to host daylong prayers at the Capitol Building.
The Plenary (the highest decision Making body) of the House of Representatives took the decision on Tuesday, following a communication from the National Christian Council of Liberia.
NCCL believes that in such a difficult time it is only the interventions of God almighty that Liberia can defeat the deadly Covid-19, and further added that, as national Leaders, it is also necessary for Lawmakers to join other Liberians in having a spiritual encounter with God on behalf of the Country.
As of May 26, 2020 the Country has the total confirmed cases of 266, with 96 being at high risk, with 26 deaths and a total of 144 recoveries.
