The visiting President of the African Bar Association, Cllr. Hannibal Uwaifo has lauded its Liberian counterpart for work it has done on the rule of law in Liberia.
Cllr. Uwaifo, told Judicial Reporters “the level of work being done by the Liberia Bar Association(LBA) on rule of law is highly commendable, therefore the African Bar has selected Liberia as the venue for its upcoming conference, geared towards discussing pertinent issues”.
Upon his arrival Wednesday, August 28, 2018 in Margibi County, Liberia, at the Roberts International Airport (RIA), Cllr. Uwaifo disclosed that delegates from around the world at the conference will discuss, and plan how to move the various Bars forward.
The African Bar President also disclosed that the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) will form part of the forum, emphasizing that respect for human rights is key in the process.
For his part, the host, LBA President Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe described the visit of the Cllr. Hannibal Uwaifo, as rewarding.
Cllr. Gongloe said: “The forum will derive ideas to strengthen the rule of law in Liberia and the region”.
