Following the election of Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves, a Baptist Prelate as President of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC), the Champlain General of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Rev. Festus Logan has publicly predicted that danger is ahead amid the election of Rev. Dr. Reeves .
Speaking Monday, May 30, in Monrovia, Rev. Logan cautioned the Liberia Council of Churches to rethink its decision of electing the Baptist Prelate, who he considers a politician.
According to him, Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves, who was reportedly advocating for sanctions against the country, should not be the one heading the Liberia Council of Churches.
He however promised to lead a robust advocacy for the decision to be thwarted, noting that Rev Samuel Reeves could mortgage the LCC during the 2023 elections; because, he is a politician.
