At PUL Awards Night: U.S Diplomat Calls On Journalists To Be Balance In Their Reportage

Speaking at the Press Union of Liberia Awards Night, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy near Monrovia, Joe Maybury on Saturday Night, May 28, 2022 held at the Ministerial Complex called on Liberian Journalists to be professional in their Reportage.

He noted that the journalism profession is a noble one, and therefore it’s pratictioners must always be mindful in the gathering of information cridiblely for the benefit of the public.

Mr. Maybury also called on Liberian Journalists to recognize the nobility of their profession, stressing that the public look up to the Journalists for credible news and information, therefore such information must be factual and credible.

The observing of the Awards Night is follow after the celebration of the World Press Freedom Day which is observed each year on May 3rd
