Boy, 18, Allegedly Murdered Private Security Guard

Archie Tarlue a local security guard has been confirmed dead, following a sudden attack by a teenager on Mechlin Street, Monrovia.

According to Women Tv Liberia, Archie, 25, met his early demise at about 9:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022, after he was wounded with a stone at the back of his head by an 18-year-old identified as David while defending a little girl from being brutalized by David.

David had a misunderstanding with the little girl, a street seller, to which she sought protection from Archie (the deceased), who is a security guard.

As provided by witnesses’ accounts, Archie did not use any resisting force against David but rather shielded the little girl from David’s wrath in order to avoid her being brutalized.

Archie was a resident of Barnesville and a security officer of the Regional Security Network, who was assigned at a local Stationery at the intersection of Benson and Mechlin Street.

It was also established that David while being irritated, aggressively collected a huge rock and unhesitatingly landed it at the back of Archie’s head, which resulted in his unconsciousness.

Following the dispute, David suddenly disappeared from the community, while Archie was rushed to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, but was confirmed dead hours later by authorities of the Hospital.

However, community dwellers of Mechlin Street have attested to David’s consistent involvement in disputes and reckless conflicts with residents of the area.

David has however been declared wanted by the Liberia National Police (LNP).
