LIBERIA: Supreme Court Reaffirms To Restore Benefits For Judges

Supreme Court reaffirms decision to ensure government restores benefits of judges as a result of harmonization; describes the process as illegal.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Sie-A-Nyene Yuoh has reaffirmed the Supreme Court decision to restore all benefits of judges and justices that were illegally harmonized by the George Weah’s administration.

According to Justice Yuoh, despite financial challenges from budgetary support, the Supreme Court has continued to pursue an enabling environment for the efficient and effectiveness of justice.

Justice Yuoh furthered that the Court is concerned about the many problems emulating from the lower courts.
