LIBERIA: Publishers Go To The Poll December 10,2021

The publishers Association of Liberia is expected to hold Special elections on December 10, 2021. The positions to be contested for are: president, Vice president, Secretary General and Financial Secretary.

The election is in line with PAL’s constitution which runs for two years.  The current leadership headed by Othello Garblah, is ending the administration of Mr. Philibert Brown, who resigned two years ago due to personal reasons.

Members of the Elections committee are; Mr. Alphonso Toweh, Chairman, New Republic newspaper, Mr. Mohammed Kanneh,  Co-Chairman, Heritage  newspaper and Mr. Joel Cholo Brooks, Secretary,  GNN-Liberia as Secretary.

Meanwhile, all those wishing to apply for their preferred position should submit their application not later than December 3rd to the 4th, 2021.

Campaign officially starts on Saturday, December 4, 2021 and ends December 9,2021.

All those publishers interested for the various positions are advice to look in the  local dallies  for the  guidelines, and those wanting to apply should send their application to the Chairman of the Election Commission, Alphonso Toweh not later than the 3rd of December 2021. A press statement issued by the Commission and signed by its Chairman noted.
