Former president Donald Trump, in his first public address since stepping down from office, hinted at running for the office in 2024. While addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida, he repeated claims that he won the November elections and lambasted Republicans who voted against him in the latest impeachment trial.

“With your help, we will take back the House, we will win the Senate, and then a Republican president will make a triumphant return to the White House—and I wonder who that will be?” he said. The enthusiastic gathering at the conference indicated Trump’s continued influence in the Republican Party, the AFP reported.
