LIBERIA: SCF To End Child Development Initiative In Bong County

The Save the Children’s Future (SCF) is a fast growing nonprofit making and grass root NGO which aims at supporting community beneficial initiatives towards building sustainable community development avenues to improving Health, Social services and Entrepreneurship, Disaster Relief and Advocacy.

According to the Executive Director Mr. Wesly Anderson, (SCF) has over the years worked with communities in identifying solutions to their problems with the overall aim of contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“We work to support evidenced based community interventions to meet community needs as well as strengthening and streamlining financial management, planning and information systems in the execution of Projects”, Mr. Anderson speaking further indicated.

Elaborating further, Mr. Anderson said that the organizational governance ensures the beneficiaries, mostly women and children are assured that SCF as an organization is established on their behalf and is indeed serving their best interests.

He further explain that the Projects they undertake are geared towards facilitating communities in undertaking effective and sustainable development initiatives, building effective leadership for innovations for development while imparting needed skills and appropriate knowledge to community groups for economic and social empowerment.

“We at all times strive to promote linkages and networking with other development agencies and government departments”.

SCF is currently conducting study classes for over 200 kids from different communities in the City of Gbarnga, Bong County as one of their responsibilities that focuses on child development.

The SCF boss also expressed thanks to all the supporters and donors who have over the years ensured that SCF makes a difference in the lives of the needy and welcome donations in kind and grants to support the organization in expanding community targeted interventions.
