LIBERIA: Mercy Corps Climax Batch -6 Apprenticeship Graduation Program In Ganta

The Swedish Embassy Funded Prospects phase -6 apprenticeship graduation in Nimba is the last apprentice and job career development program that Mercy Corps has implemented for the Swedish government.

Mercy Corps Prospects program has been a long standing job career and entrepreneur development program that since started in 2012, with implementation in Monrovia, Grand Bassa and Gbarnga city respectively, and in 2017 the program was extended to Ganta Nimba county.

According to Mr. Wah Ajavon the Prospect’s E&E project manager Mercy Corps the program runs on three phases, which is from phase 1 to phase 3 which covers the activities of Mercy Corps in those four counties with extension in the last phase that will in December this year.

The basic focus of the program was to provide training for, Job readiness, employment and entrepreneurship training and teaching young people how to write Job applications, how to sit job interviews and the provision of grant for business minded young people in those locations.
