The Monrovia City Court Judge, Jomah Jallah, has jailed rape suspect, Johnson Chulatay, at the Monrovia Central Prison, following his recent arrest and subsequent forwarding to the Court for trial.
Suspect Chulatay allegedly raped and impregnated his thirteen-year-old stepdaughter, a case that has generated huge public outcry.
The incident reportedly occurred two years ago in Lofa County from where the suspect escaped before he was arrested on Sunday, May 31 in the Mount Barclay Community, Montserrado County.
During police investigation, suspect Chulatay admitted having sex with the victim several times, resulting to pregnancy.
Our Judicial Reporter said the suspect would remain at the Monrovia Central Prison pending court trial.
