COVID-19 Update: 3 new confirmed cases, 1 new death, and 3 new recoveries reported

Liberia’s Health Minister Jallah is being tested for COVID-19

Authorities of the Liberia COVID-19 Incident Management System  have disclosed that the total confirmed cases as of May 17, 2020 have reached to 229, with total deaths of 22, while 123 have been recovered.

In another development, authorities of the incident management system along with heads of partner institutions (WHO, CDC, USAID, AFFENET, and journalists), on Sunday, May 17, 2020, got tested for COVID-19 in an effort to encourage community participation.

Three specimen collection centers, SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville, Tubman High School in Sinkor and G. W. Gibson High School, Capitol Bye-pass, are currently up and running.

Other specimen collection centers are underway.
